Who we are

ResearchNed is an independent research institute that specialises in social-scientific research, policy advice, and knowledge transfer in the overall field of education. We are a team of young, enthusiastic and dedicated professionals with extensive experience and knowledge of specific national and international policy areas such as student satisfaction; student drop-out and early school leaving; incoming students and degree choice; quality, structure and organisation of the educational process; and the educational job market. Research on these areas is conducted in all educational sectors: primary education, secondary education, secondary vocational educational and higher education.

Our research is commissioned by agencies such as the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and allied public bodies and foundations.

ResearchNed administers the Student Panel. The Student Panel is a representative sample of the Dutch student population in secondary vocational educational and higher education. The Panel can be used for different types of secondary vocational and higher education surveys, for instance for validation of the National Student Satisfaction Survey, for university image surveys and for the introduction of the teacher education minor.

We are proud to bring to the table expertise, a scientific approach and a high-quality methodology. Data consolidation, the application of adequate analysis techniques, replicability, and documentation of analysis protocols are central to all of our research.

We use advanced IT applications for managing our panels, for making research data available online, for benchmarking and for advanced online surveying. The web infrastructure is suitable for conducting large-scale fieldwork.
